- Description
- As technology has progressed, and the desire for accessible and flexible learning has grown, videos have become an increasingly integral element of educational experiences. This trend has been accelerated greatly by the COVID pandemic, which required educators to rapidly transition courses fully online. A large body of research has sought to understand how learning occurs and what impacts engagement with educational video resources. However, understanding how this may be translated into practice can be challenging. This chapter synthesises existing research by discussing a practical process that educators can work through when creating videos tailored to the engineering education context. This process encompasses design, produce, distribute, and evaluate stages. Evidence-based recommendations are made for educators developing videos for engineering course delivery.
